Our History
Fayette Mower has served the Fayette County area since 1978 when Mike Jones and Bill Valliant began the business. The business originated as part of Travis Hardware, owned and operated by Ed Travis on the Fayetteville Courthouse square. Mike and Bill bought the lawn and garden equipment and appliance portion of Ed's business. In 1981, Mike and Bill moved the business to Hudson Plaza on North Hwy 85. In 1987, Bill became sole owner of Fayette Mower. In 1991, Bill and his wife Marti purchased a building on Hwy 85 from Ingram's Florist. Fayette Mower remained at that location for the next 29 years. In 2017, after working at Fayette Mower since the age of 15 Gabe Glaze purchased the business from Bill. Gabe recently purchased our new location at 920 Hwy 85 S. and looks forward to the many years to come!
